Vicar of St Andrew's Headington, Oxford

St Andrew’s Headington, a single-church benefice in Oxford, is seeking a vicar in the liberal catholic tradition to guide us in prayer, nurture us with the sacraments, support our service to community, and lead us into deeper relationship with Christ.

We are looking for a vicar who will:

  • Lead us in liturgy with confidence, clarity, and prayer
  • Foster formation, especially in our schools and thriving Young Church
  • Inspire us through preaching and warm, approachable pastoral care
  • Embody the inclusive love of God for all people
  • Value our community and work collaboratively with our lay leadership

We offer:

  • A vibrant, inclusive congregation seeking to follow Christ
  • Well-established rhythms of liturgy rooted in the modern catholic tradition
  • A beautiful and lovingly maintained historic building
  • Strong support from dedicated wardens, PCC, lay leadership, and NSM clergy
  • A spacious, 5-bedroom vicarage with study and garden in Oxford
