- Canon E1 of the Canons of the Church of England sets out in summary form the duties of churchwardens. A useful leaflet on the role of a churchwarden can be found here.
- The Churchwardens Nomination Form for use at your APCM can be found here.
- The Churchwardens Declaration Form can be found here.
- The Citation for Admission letter from the Registry for 2025 will be uploaded shortly.
- The deadline for admitting churchwardens to office for 2025 is 31 August 2025.
Please note your APCM must be held by 31 May 2025. If you wish to order the 2025 Churchwardens Yearbook, the order form can be found here.
Oxford
This year's Visitation service will be led by the Venerable Jonathan Chaffey and will take place in Christ Church Cathedral at 7.30pm on Thursday 12 June. Please let Claire Barratt know if you are able to attend and advise who will be attending with you by 31 May. If you are unable to attend on 12 June please identify a service from one of the other areas, as detailed below, and let us know which one you will be attending.
Please complete and return the churchwarden's declaration or bring it with you to the service.

Dorchester

Here is a list of Visitation Services venues and dates for 2025. Please complete an Attendance Form and return this to your deanery administrator along with your completed Declaration Form.

Buckingham
The Visitation Services for the Buckingham Archdeaconry in 2024 will be led by Archdeacon Guy and Associate Archdeacon Chris. Four services will be held across the Buckingham Archdeaconry through June and July and dates, times and venues can be downloaded by clicking here.
The Visitation Attendance Form (click here to download) should be completed and returned to the Archdeacon's PA, Heather Harris, no later than Thursday 6 June 2024.

Berkshire
The three Berkshire Episcopal Visitations will all be held this year in June:
- 4 June 2025 – for Reading/Sonning deaneries, host church tbc
- 12 June 2025 – for Bracknell/Maidenhead & Windsor deaneries – location Easthampstead, SS Michael & St Mary Magdalene
- 24 June 2025 – for Bradfield/Newbury deaneries – location Upper Bucklebury, All Saints
Please return your completed Churchwardens Declaration Form to the Archdeacon's office by email at berkshirevisitations@oxford.anglican.org or by post to St Birinus House, Englefield Road, Theale, Reading, RG7 5AS before Thursday 30th May 2025 or bring it with you to the Visitation Service.
